Back in late 1999, Hewitt and Brooks were on the same bill of "The Martin Short Show". Love was promoting her TV series, "Time of Your Life" and Brooks was promoting a new CD. Two years later, Meredith Brooks was in Los Angeles area pitching a new song Brooks co-composed when Hewitt and Brooks met. According to Love on the Rick Dees Show (KIIS-FM, Los Angeles, CA in the fall of 2002), Love stalked Brooks to collaborate with Brooks on new songs and to have Brooks produced Hewitt's first CD on BMG/Zomba's JIVE RECORDS record label. Meredith gladly agreed....in return Hewitt recorded background vocal on Meredith's "Pleasure" for Brooks' new 2002 CD "Bad, Bad One" (aka: "Shine").

The results....digitally produced, with songs co-composed by Hewitt, Brooks and many gifted songwriters, it was another successful CD of originality for Jennifer Love Hewitt. All production and songs tell stories. "Stronger" is a song composed by Jennifer Love Hewitt with enough strength as a singer/songwriter on her own. Honoring the life and career and of Janis Joplin, Love with songwriter/musician CHRIS CANUTE ("I'm Gonna Love You") recorded the Kris Kristofferson/Fred Foster composition, "Me & Bobby McGee". Canute is playing hand drums---the only instrument on the recording next to Love's perfect pitch voice in Take One of the last track for North America release.

Paul McCartney's drummer from his "Driving Rain" and "Back In The U.S." CDs: ABE LABORIEL, JR. banged the drums on five tracks of Love's CD...including "BareNaked", "Can I Go Now", "You", "Where You're Gonna Run To?" and "Just Try" as well as on the Meredith Brooks' CD "Bad Bad One" (aka: "Shine").

And ANDY GOLDMARK who co-composed "Let's Go Bang", reunited and co-composed with Love, Scott Sax (of the group FEEL) and Meredith Brooks on the song "AVENUE OF THE STARS" and played some of the instruments on some of the CD tracks.  Singer/Songwriter BRIAN McKNIGHT co-wrote a wonderful love song titled "JUST TRY" which is the bonus track for the IMPORT CD.

These recordings has produced a fresh new look from Jennifer Love Hewitt and Meredith Brooks, and to hear more new music from Love in the future. The return of Classic Rock!
