Fast National ratings for Friday, February 19, 2010
Although the 2010 Winter Olympics didn't score as high as its opening
ceremony a week ago, NBC still had no problem winning Friday night with
its coverage of the men's super-G (with USA winning a couple medals),
ice dancing, ski jumping and the women's skeleton.
NBC averaged 23.2 million viewers and an 13.4 rating/23 share in
households for the night. The far-off silver medal in ratings went to
ABC, drawing 4.9 million and a 3.3/6. Following was CBS (4.6 million,
2.9/5), FOX (3 million, 1.9/3) and The CW (2 million, 1.2/2).
NBC also claimed the demo victory, a 5.4 rating among adults 18-49. Once
again, ABC was second with a 1.5, a tie for third between CBS and FOX,
1.1 apiece, and The CW bringing up the rear with a 0.8.
