PUSHING CD, HEWITT SINGS
AT HER SUPPER

Release Date: July 11, 2002

Press Release: The Philadelphia Inquirer

Entertains execs and eats.....

by Michael Klein - Inquirer Columnist

Actress and budding chanteuse Jennifer Love Hewitt wowed about 30 jaded radio executives Tuesday night in a private meet-and-greet/performance/dinner at D'Angelo's restaurant near Rittenhouse Square.

In town with mother Pat Hewitt, and accompanied by a guitarist, she cut loose on four songs in a private dining room - no microphone or tricks - before table-hopping. (Yes, she eats.) Hewitt, 23, her black hair done up, wore tan cords and an off-the-shoulder scarflike wrap thing that exposed her navel.

Three songs were from BareNaked, her forthcoming Jive Records CD; on the track "Hey Everybody," she led the suits in a sing-along. Hewitt also sang the Kris Kristofferson song "Me and Bobby McGee," explaining that when she and brother Todd were younger, it was his favorite song, and she learned it to impress him.

The 76ers (www.sixers.com) handed Hewitt a team jersey to autograph. The Love-a-graph-ed team jersey has joined other signed jerseys - from Madonna, Mel Gibson, Joaquin Phoenix and Jay-Z - in a 10-day online auction for Sixers Charities.
