LOVE IS IN THE AIR

Jennifer Love Hewitt is everywhere! In addition to the 20 year-old's weekly appearances on PARTY OF FIVE, this busy actress has also had parts in such major motion pictures as I KNOW WHAT YOU DID LAST SUMMER, I STILL KNOW WHAT YOU DID LAST SUMMER, CAN'T HARDLY WAIT and THE SUBURBANS. Her role as Julie in I KNOW WHAT YOU DID LAST SUMMER earned her the 1998 Blockbuster Entertainment Award for Favorite Female Newcomer in film. Also on Jennifer Love's plate are three compact discs---she's a fabulous pop singer! Oh, and don't forget so many television commercials and print advertisements for Neutrogena products.

Of course, it's Jennifer Love's role as Sarah Reeves on PARTY OF FIVE---a role she's had since 1995---that has made this actress a face to remember. In fact, Jennifer Love and her character have become so popular that next season she'll have her own spin-off television series, tentatively titled THE TIME OF YOUR LIFE. "I'm excited about playing Sarah in her own show," admits Jennifer Love. "It will take her to new places."

Also up on the television calendar: Jennifer Love will be portraying film actress AUDREY HEPBURN in an ABC-TV biography movie. "She's just my idol," says Jennifer Love, smiling. "Such class and elegance. I only hope people don't remember me after the movie, but what Audrey Hepburn stood for."

LOVE SWEET LOVE

With all of her fame and career success, you would think that Jennifer Love might become a bit spoiled and, well, wild, like so many young teen stars. But Jennifer Love takes her sweet image seriously. "I like being a role model to young girls. I try really hard in interviews not to put on a fake front. I try really hard to make sure I'm somebody they can look up to."

Why does Jennifer Love feel she's been chosen as the girl to look up to? "When I think of a role model and why people say I am one, I think mostly of Sarah (from PARTY OF FIVE). With my honor film character, Julie, I think she's a great person who's funny, powerful, smart, strong, weak, vulnerable---everything that a human being is supposed to be. And a role model needs to be really human. I would like to be friends with her.

Since she always chooses to play nice, strong young women, does Jennifer Love ever feel the need to change her image and take on a "bad girl" role? "I'm happy being the girl next-door," says Jennifer Love. "The 'Gidget' thing works for me. I don't think I'd be comfortable with nudity. It's just not for me. I'll probably stay the good girl for awhile."

TRUE LOVE

Jennifer Love looks even more perfect in person than on screen. She's petite and, today, she is wearing very little make-up. The star is casually dressed in hip fashion---tight black flared pants, grey form fitting top, black boots and delicate diamond cross dangling from a very thin chain. Her face is shaped in a perfect heart under perfectly mussed hair. Though you'd think this beautiful girl would know she's got a great face, even Jennifer Love has her beauty-fear moments. "Believe me, I see someone very average in the mirror, usually, and I'm happy with that. I know there are people who are prettier and more talented than me. I am incredibly insecure. I mean, look at these ears---they are so big! The right one flaps over and the left one doesn't even match it. And when I get flustered, they turn bright red, which makes me more embarrassed."

For her famous fresh face Sarah character, the make-up artists on PARTY OF FIVE prefer to keep Jennifer Love---as well as Neve Campbell, Lacey Chabert and the other young women---wearing minimal makeup. A Visora foundation is applied with a light hand, then a little blush and mascara. There's no nail polish or lipstick. Instead, lips are lined with pencil and filled in with M.A.C. lip gloss.

Jennifer Love's fashion tastes are clearly on the cutting-edge of what's hot. Her large closet is very well organized with flowing summer dresses, tiny sweaters and Capri pants. In addition, she also has chic clothing by such designers as Armani, Donna Karan and Tommy Hilfiger. These designers have sent Jennifer Love apparel that she wears on special occasions.

Even though it's Jennifer Love's gorgeous mane, pretty eyes of fab wardrobe you're first attracted to, the star is definitely beautiful on the inside, too. Taking her fame in stride, she reveals, "You know, I don't ever want to be above anybody else. Nobody's better than anybody else. People just have different circumstances, and we're put here for different reasons. This is the kind of work I do, so I say, let's be good to each other. It's a weird world and we are all we have."
