Star Jennifer Love
Hewitt acknowledges that the tiny shirts she
wears were hardly selected to downplay her
substantial assets, and she says she's learned to
be upfront about her figure.
In the September issue of Detour,
she says she was 11 or 12 when she
"blossomed." Says the 20-year-old
actress, "I went through my period of
wearing big sweaters, and then at 14 or 15, I
went, 'Well, they're not going anywhere.'"
While shooting I
Know
(which the Detour
interviewer refers to as a "3-D
movie"), frequent questions prompted her to
buy, and proudly wear, a T-shirt proclaiming
"Silicone Free." Her Party
of Five co-star, however,
was less forward thinking. Hewitt tells Detour
magazine that Scott Wolf asked her, "What
are you doing?' and gave her his jacket to cover
up.
Those very assets proved a
detriment, however, for Hewitt's portrayal of
Audrey Hepburn in the upcoming ABC biopic. As the
star, who's getting her own spin-off series this
fall, Time of Your Life,
tells Detour,
there's a noticeable difference between her
top-heavy figure and that of ballerina-like
Audrey. "I had to wear this sports bra, and
it was really tight. I was bound for hours a day,
not the most comfortable thing," relates the
star, who says she was extremely nervous about
stepping into the beloved icon's shoes.
