"Woolloomooloo"..... |
| SHE may have notched up 10 hard in
show business, including three albums, a hit TV show and
a blockbuster movie but multi-talented Jennifer
Love Hewitt still feels she has something to prove. Which might explain why she has eschewed the look of the current crop of popettes and has gone all rock chicky. Dressed in tight leather pants and a Harley Davidson T-shirt, Hewitt told a Woolloomooloo press conference that her fourth and latest album BareNaked had at last allowed her to indulge her love of guitar-based music. "I'm really proud of the music," she said. "This is something I've wanted to do for a really long time and it's really what I enjoy as well as the T-shirts and my hair and all that stuff. Hey, I'm a girl and we're always reinventing ourselves." A veteran at 23, Hewitt shot to fame on the long-running TV drama Party of Five and achieved even greater acclaim by screaming like a banshee in the teen thriller movie I Know What You Did Last Summer. Now the self-described goofball is turning her attention back to her recording career and says if forced to choose between a new movie role or touring, the music would win hands down. |

| "If people wanted me to go on
tour I'd have to say yes, no matter what the film
is," she declared. "I would love to tour. I
think that's a once in a lifetime opportunity." But given that Hewitt was 10 when she first started to break in to the music industry, will she still have the desire and energy to keep doing this when she's in her 40s like Madonna or 50s like Cher? "I really hope so . . . I hope I'm still cute enough," she said. Hey Jen, don't worry that's what Botox is for. Story: © 2002
