| by Jason Gelman Multi-talented actress-singer Jennifer Love Hewitt is currently in negotiations to sign with Jive Records, according to inside sources, but an official confirmation from Jive is still pending. Jive is the current home of pop powerhouses the Backstreet Boys, 'N Sync, and Britney Spears. Hewitt's extensive acting career includes roles in films such as I Know What You Did Last Summer and Can't Hardly Wait, among others, and she was also featured weekly on Fox's Party of Five and its spin-off, Time Of Your Life. In addition, Hewitt also has three solo albums to her credit. Her first album, Love Songs, was released in Japan in 1992, with singles from the album also released overseas in Germany, Austria, and Britain. She made her Atlantic Records debut with the 1995 pop album Let's Go Bang, followed by 1996's Jennifer Love Hewitt. Hewitt is currently working on the MGM film Heartbreakers with co-stars Gene Hackman, Sigourney Weaver, and Ray Liotta. In the film, Weaver and Hewitt portray a mother-and-daughter con artist team.
