Dreams do come true, again..... |

Well, I was inside the MOD television stage and seated almost directly behind JENNIFER LOVE HEWITT!!!!! On the broadcast show, you can see me in almost all the close-ups right behind Love's head. AND you can even see me laughing with her in some of the shots. |
When Love was introduced by the MOD VJs - Rick & Jenn, Love came running towards the area of the stage where I was seated. I have to say, throughout the whole show and in between commercial breaks, she was sooooo happy and chipper! As a matter of fact, during the interview with Rick, when she was laughing, she fell to her knees and onto the studio floor! I loved seeing her so happy! She really looked like she was having a ball and she was soooooo adorable throughout the show, on and off the air. I was in total disbelief having forgotten from the last time I met her, how incredibly tiny she is. We all know she is small, but when you see her in real life, she is even more so. She looks so delicate and fragile. Seeing her for a full hour just a few feet in front of me makes me realize how utterly beautiful she is and I am one of the luckiest men in the world. Her eyes literally sparkle and all her features are so perfect. I fell in love even more today than I was before! Honestly, I truly feel that God made one girl like Love and that was it. She is a miracle. |
Whether she was introducing someone, standing on a box pretending she had hijacked the show from the co-hosts, making a monkey face, eating a banana (with or without a blindfold) or acting out a scene from I KNOW WHAT YOU DID LAST SUMMER (IK), it is simply astounding how adorable she is!!!!!! Speaking of "monkey face", someone e-mailed Love through the Much Music website at www.muchmusic.com and requested Love to make a monkey face on camera. She was embarrassed but she did. It was so cute and a television camera showed a close-up of my reaction to her monkey face. I was enjoying it so much and laughing! |
Love had to feed a banana to one of the show's co-host, RICK---who was blindfolded, and then the blindfolded Rick had to feed a banana to Love. It was sooooooo funny. They kept missing each other's faces. When Love's banana fell apart, she said "my banana broke!" and everyone laughed. They kept doing this for awhile. Then when after Love took off her blindfold, she was in tears and fell onto the studio floor, laughing! |
Then, the co-hosts asked the audience members who wanted the rest of the bananas and.....I got to eat the rest of Love's banana!!!!!!!!! Me and Love shared a banana...well, sorta... In one highlight, she did a "Jackie Chan" kick in front of a television camera. Wild! In another highlight, Love re-enacted a scene from IK. It was the scene that ended with the line Love made famous in the original IK movie, "What are you waiting for?!" But she did a bit of dialogue before that famous line. When one of the cue cards ran out, Love said "turn it over" or something like that and it was so cute. "Giving directions." She actually spun around at the end of the speech while yelling her famous line---just like in the movie. I was so ecstatic to see Love recite her famous line, and she was really good even though Love said she didn't do it well. It felt like I was on the set of IK for the filming of that famous scene. I got to watch Love act, in person!!!!!!!! Her mother, Mrs. Pat Hewitt was also here in the Much Music studios, watching from the background. |
| She came up to me, took it and
signed it. At that point, I wasn't sure whether to
tell her to keep it or take it back because I've never
had an autograph from her, before. As a matter of fact, when I met her back in September 2001 when she was filming "The Tuxedo" in the Toronto area, I didn't asked for her autograph. Well anyhow, when she handed the piece of paper (with my poem on it) back to me with her autograph, I said to Love, "Jennifer, that is a poem I wrote for you". |
| Then, I kid you not, and I never
thought I would see this, her eyes lit up, got really big
and she said, "You wrote this for me? Did you want
me to sign it?" She really looked like she appreciated it! I wasn't sure what to do cause she had already signed it and I wanted to give it to her. But then the Much Music security personal told me I wasn't allowed to pass it to her. Therefore, Love gave it back, but she looked a little disappointed which made me sad. (From Jim Mix: Notice a guy in this pic on Love's left giving Tom a weird look? That's one of the Much Music security guys on duty.) |
When she gave the poem back signed, I said, "I love you" and asked her if she would take a photo with me. She said she definitely would but it would be later. She was sincere, but sadly, again, as soon as the show ended, they hurried her off so I didn't get that pic. However, just knowing Love said yes makes me feel great. |
But hang on...it ain't over yet...... |
I've said it before and I'll say it again, Love is the most beautiful girl in the world, inside and outside, and seeing her on screen doesn't do her justice. It's seeing her in person that is truly a miracle to behold. Thank you Love for another incredible experience! I'll never forget, wherever you are, and I love you.
