"My
production company is such a breath of fresh
air. It's such a relaxation period for
me from acting and singing. Really what
I've done is find three completely different
realms of the entertainment industry still
keep me doing what I love."
-JENNIFER
LOVE HEWITT
Expansion began in
1998...
|
|
In
1998, Love formed her own production company:
LOVE SPELL™
® ENTERTAINMENT
.....with Spellmakers Jill
Gilbert serving as Vice President of Love Spell
and Kim Kovac as Executive Story Editor for Love
Spell.
|
The
first two movie productions began under the new banner with a
treatment Love sold to New Line Cinema, a Time Warner Company, titled:
"CUPID'S
LOVE"
then
re-titled for legal reasons to
"MARRY
ME, JANE"
|

|
But
in February 2001, Sony's Columbia Pictures
released a movie similar to Love's treatment
titled "The Wedding Planner" starring
Jennifer Lopez. Despite the lost for New Line
Cinema and Love, the Columbia Pictures' "rip
off" bombed with the critics and the
audience. Columbia Pictures should've listened to
Love in the first place.
And as for Love's
treatment...it's not a "complete" lost
when the treatment can be re-written and better.
|
The
second Love Spell production in association with
Robert Greenwald Productions and Endemol
Entertainment ("BIG BROTHER") was based
on the life of the legendary woman and actress,
AUDREY HEPBURN.
|

|
But
when the media learned of Jennifer Love Hewitt
being the co-executive producer and starring
in the role of Ms. Hepburn, the
critics did their work to bashed "the
unknown actress" for portraying "the
legendary actress".
Whether Love would take
the role of Ms. Hepburn or not, it was Love's
mother, Pat Hewitt, and the life of Audrey
Hepburn that convinced Love to take on the role.
Two women (Audrey & Love) who have lacked the
experience of entertainment, it's worth giving it
a try before criticizing.
|
Audrey
Hepburn could be identified by Love in health,
success and failures, parents, and life. Cannot
see a reason why not portraying Audrey. Love
looks like Audrey.
So in the USA on March 27,
2000, Love starred in the title role and
Co-Executive Produced the ABC Original Movie:
"THE
AUDREY HEPBURN STORY"
"Party of Five"/Time Of Your
Life/Ghost Whisperer
director, STEVE ROBMAN took over the directing
helm.
The three hour-made-for-TV
bio movie was Number One in
its time slot for March 27, 2000 and Number 12
for the week of March 27 to April 2, 2000. So
much for critics.
Also Jennifer Love Hewitt
became an Advisory Board Member to The Audrey
Hepburn Children's Fund located at the banner
below known as AudreyHepburn.com.
Sean Hepburn Ferrer, the son of Audrey Hepburn
and actor/producer/director Mel Ferrer is the
Chairman of the Board for The Audrey Hepburn
Children's Fund.
|
"Audrey
was the first person I really identified
with. She hated her ears; I've always
hated my ears. Her biggest dream was to
be a ballerina, but she was never really good
enough. I always wanted to be a
ballerina, but wasn't good enough."
-JENNIFER
LOVE HEWITT
|

|

|
"Working
with Jennifer Love Hewitt was one of the
best weeks of my life, maybe THE
best! I consider Jennifer Love Hewitt to be
one of the warmest and most sincere people I
have ever met. She has a wonderful little
talent button deep within herself - that she
pushes right before they call action. She is
without a doubt a pure and unspoiled
talent."
-MICHAEL
J. BURG
the
actor who portrayed Truman Capote
in "The Audrey
Hepburn Story"
|

| Intermedia Films/Outlaw
Productions and Love Spell Entertainment dipped
into its discretionary fund to pick up Christina
Welsh's romantic comedy: "IF
ONLY"
starring an all British
cast including PAUL NICHOLLS, LUCY DAVENPORT,
MICHAEL TUCKER, THE WILKENSONS: TOM WILKENSON
& DIANA HARDCASTLE and ROY SAMPSON.
|

|
Samantha
(Jennifer Love Hewitt) is an American music
student living in London, carefree, impulsive and
madly in love with her English boyfriend, Ian
(Paul Nicholls).
But Ian is wedded to
his high pressure, high finance job and he's too
busy to notice that by ignoring his emotions and
neglecting his adoring girlfriend, he runs the
risk of losing her altogether. When the situation
takes a tragic turn, Ian at last realizes his
true feelings for Samantha.
If only he'd told her
what he really thought. If only he could re-live
his last day with her and put things right. If
only.....
Jennifer Love Hewitt is
attached to star and produce through her Love
Spell Entertainment with Jill Gilbert. TV/Motion
picture veteran director, GIL JUNGER, is one of
the producers and the
director.
The movie had its USA
premiere at the Sarasota Film Festival on January
23, 2004. Two years later on January 15, 2006,
the whole USA got to see an 'edited for
television' version on the ABC Family Cable
Channel. Now available on DVD from Sony Pictures
Home Entertainment.
Also
Outlaw Productions and Warner Bros. along with
Love and Love Spell are developing a story about
an FBI trainee who is kidnapped by the mob.
"TRUST
ME"
.....is the story of a mob
killer who has a contract out on an FBI trainee
(played by Hewitt) to kill her. But instead, the
killer falls in love with the trainee.
|
"The
amount of talent packed into her
small frame is
staggering. Her drive is not typical of
someone her age."
-GIL
JUNGER
director/producer
of "IF ONLY" talking about
Jennifer Love Hewitt

The
return of Love and Touchstone...Television...as
well as Walt Disney and ABC, again. Love is
making a primetime return thanks to scribes Gabe
Sachs and Jeff Judah.
Singer-Actress
Jennifer Love Hewitt has pacted with Touchstone
Television for a half-hour comedy to be written
and exec produced by Sachs and Judah
("Freaks and Geeks.") Project is being
designed as a starring vehicle for Love, who will
co-exec produce with KIM KOVAC via her Love Spell
Entertainment shingle.
Handprint
Entertainment's Jeff Pollack will also serve as
exec producer.
Hewitt already had a
specific idea in mind for the project, she plays
RILEY REED in the new sitcom.....
"IN
THE GAME"
.....about a TV
sports producer (Reed) who decides to go back to
being a sports reporter for ESPN while juggling
the other career of being a single mom to a son
(Sounds like a tribute to Todd and Mom). At least
two nets, including ABC, have expressed serious
interest in the project. Touchstone execs, led by
prexy Steve McPherson
(Now
the head of ABC Entertainment).
The sitcom did not make the 2004 fall season
pick-up. But ABC gave the show the midseason
pick-up in early 2005!
The original pilot
starred Josie Davis as a jealous, competitor
sports reporter; John Patrick Stuart as a sex
crazed man and sports reporter/anchorman; Paula
Cale as a techer and best friend to Riley; Mel
(Garfield: The Movie) Rodriquez as a cameraman
and another friend of Riley's; Anthony Tavera as
Riley's son; and (Married with Children/Dragnet
star) Ed O'Neill as Riley's TV boss. Veteran TV
director/producer James Widdoes (Robert Hoover
from "Animal House") directed the
pilot.
The second pilot will
star Stuart, Rodriquez, along with Emmy Winner
Christine Baranski as a ego competitive sports
anchor reporter and "Roseanne" star
Sara Gilbert as Riley's best friend. Ed O'Neill
will also return as Riley's boss of an ESPN
make-believe network simply titled "In The
Game", and Riley's father. James Widdoes
returned to direct the second pilot.
But ABC rejected the
second pilot and pulled the plug on the series.
This was the baby Jennifer Love Hewitt gave birth
to and ABC Televison killed the baby.
Touchstone Television
is apart of Touchstone Television and Motion
Pictures, LLC - a division of The Walt Disney
Company which also owns ABC. Touchstone is the
same studio that produces ALIAS starring a former
TIME OF YOUR LIFE star: JENNIFER GARNER.
This is Jennifer Love
Hewitt's second pact with Touchstone and her
second comedy sitcom. Her first situation comedy
was "SHAKY GROUND" for FOX back in
1992. Being her first for Disney was "KIDS
INC." (The Disney Channel) the first for
Disney's Touchstone Pictures division was the
1993 motion picture : SISTER ACT 2: BACK IN THE
HABIT starring Whoopi Goldberg.
Her Fifth with ABC:
Jennifer Love Hewitt has appeared on ABC in
1994's THE BYRDS OF PARADISE, and later in the
same year on McKENNA, a small run of Saturday
morning's "THE SENIOR PROM," and the
Number One made-for-TV hit, THE AUDREY HEPBURN
STORY.
Hewitt has also
worked with The Walt Disney Company in
"Hercules" (the TV series), and the
motion picture sequel THE HUNCHBACK OF NOTRE DAME
II as well as contributing to the movie's
soundtrack "I'M GONNA LOVE YOU" sung by
Love and co-written with Chris Canute. The song
won Best Song at the 2003 DVD Awards. And Love
appeared in two critical acclaimed Miramax Films'
properties, TELLING YOU (1998) and THE ADVENTURES
OF TOM THUMB & THUMBALINA (2002). Miramax
Films is owned by The Walt Disney Company.
|
"I do
miss TV only because I miss acting every day.
That was such a good exercise for a young
actorto work your acting muscles every
single day. But Im really enjoying
doing the films, and also getting back into
my music stuff."
-JENNIFER
LOVE HEWITT
"She is
real!"
-JAMES
VAN PRAAGH
Co-Executive Producer
of "Ghost
Whisperer"
on talking about Jennifer Love Hewitt
|

|
Well television
refuse to miss Love. Touchstone Television gave
it another try with Jennifer Love Hewitt with
Writer/Executive Producer/and now consultant John Gray and Psychic
James Van Praagh. When
Love read page six of the pilot script, she was
absolutely crying. By page 15, she was bawling.
By the very end, she was sobbing.
Since the success of
Paramount Pictures Television and NBC's hit
"Medium", Van Praagh and Gray looked
over what can be done right and thus looking on
the life of a 47 year-old psychic Mary Ann
Winkowski,
|
"GHOST
WHISPERER"
was bought by CBS
Television & CBS Television Studios (a CBS Corporation
company) and Touchstone Television (now ABC Studios - a Walt Disney
company).
Jennifer Love Hewitt
plays Melinda (based on the life of the 47
year-old psychic Winkowski who serves as a
Technical Consultant on the TV series) and actor
David Conrad plays her husband Jim as a young
newlywed endowed with the unique ability to
communicate with spirits, who has spent her
entire life coping with this extraordinary gift,
but who also yearns to lead an ordinary life--if
only the dead would stop talking. And what they
are saying leads her to some unusual psychic
investigations.
Comedian, TV Host and
actress Aisha Tyler also stars, playing their
friend and Melinda's partner in an antique store,
Andrea. But then in the second season it was good-bye to Andrea (Aisha Tyler) and hello to two
new cast members: Emmy Award Winner ("The
Practice") CAMRYN MANHEIM and Comedian/Writer/Actor
JAY MOHR. Fourth Season said
good-bye to Professor Rick Payne (Jay Mohr) and hello to a
new cast member: Comedian/Writer/Actor
JAMIE KENNEDY.
Kim Moses and Ian
Sander are
the Executive Producers. James Van Praagh is the
co-Executive Producer and Jennifer Love Hewitt was
one of the producers on the TV series from the beginning of
Season One - 2005 to end of Season Four - 2009. In Season Four,
Jennifer Love Hewitt directed her first episode titled "Boby of
Water." Jennifer Love
Hewitt is now one of the Executive Producers and directors in
Season Five. Season Five marked the broadcast of the 100th
episode directed by Jennifer Love Hewitt. This is
Jennifer Love Hewitt's first project with CBS,
first with Paramount Pictures Domestic
Television (CBS Television Studios), and second TV Project with Touchstone
Television (ABC Studios).
She's back on TV!
GHOST WHISPERER -
Friday nights at 8:00 PM e/p on CBS (USA). #1 IN
ITS TIME SLOT and CTV (Canada). Also enjoying successful
encore runs on The ION Channel, Syfy Channel, WEtv, CBC - Canada, and
internationally.

Love
Spell Entertainment's LoveSpell Films in association
with IDW Publishing published Hewitt's first comic book
JENNIFER LOVE HEWITT'S
" THE
MUSIC BOX" .....Issue #1 was
released on October 26, 2009.
It waits.....as it always has....as
it always will...
|
 |
| In this exciting new horror
anthology in the vein of "The Twilight Zone" and "The Outer
Limits," series creator and megastar Jennifer Love Hewitt
has enlisted two-time Wizard award winning writer SCOTT
LOBDELL to help her tell pulse pounding, fear inducing
stories about a haunted music box and those it possesses.
The mysterious Music Box grants wishes but then, like a
melodic monkey paw, it comes at a price no one could not
possibly have imagined. |
Jennifer
Love Hewitt ended her agreement with Handprint
Entertainment in late 2005 and signed with
Untitled Entertainment. The first deal with
Untitled and Love Spell Entertainment was
acquiring the rights to
"SHE HAD BRAINS,
A BODY,
AND THE ABILITY TO MAKE MEN LOVE HER"
......a Texas Monthly
article about a hooker housewife, with plans of
starring in and producing a feature adaptation.
The article, which
was written by Katy Vine and appeared in the
January issue, tells the tale of a 22-year-old
housewife and former homecoming queen in Odessa,
Texas, who became one of the city's most popular
hookers until she, her co-workers and 68
prominent Odessa residents were arrested in a
scandal that shook the city.
Love Spell and
Untitled Entertainment are currently out to
writers to adapt the material, which they hope to
turn into a comedy.

|
Jennifer
Love Hewitt is teaming up with women's cabler
Oxygen Channel to exec produce
"ANGRY
LITTLE GIRLS"
The cabler has
greenlight the production on the pilot based on
the eponymous book and website @
www.angrylittlegirls.com
The website's weekly
comic strip revolves around the adventures of a
"South Park"-type group of girls living
in an increasingly angry world. Girls separately
are disenchanted, gloomy, crazy, fresh and angry.
|
"Angry
Little Girls" was created by Lela Lee in
response to what she found to be insulting Asian
characters in other cartoons. She's cut her
comedy chops with roles on "Curb Your
Enthusiasm," "Will & Grace,"
and "Scrubs."
Untitled
Entertainment is in negotiations to produce with
Hewitt's LoveSpell Entertainment. Lee will also
produce.
Oxygen programming
prexy Debby Beece called Lee's 'tube-driven' toon
a new category for women.
"it's definitely
not the kind of thing you see
everyday,"Beece said. "Girls aren't
always sweetness and Light. This is darker and
funnier than what's out there aimed at
women."
Oxygen has dabbled in
animation , airing the original toon "Hey
Monie," which had a second life on BET, and
"X Chromosone."
Hewitt last starred
in the original Oxygen movie "Confessions of
A Sociopathic Social Climber," one of the
network's highest rated telecasts.

Davis will co-produce with Love Spell. The
Davis/Hewitt venture is their second motion
picture together. John Davis co-produced with
Irving Ong the 2001 MGM hit,
"Heartbreakers" starring Love and
Sigourney Weaver. This Love's first of two movies
with Fox Motion Pictures. The second is the

HEWITT
& HEPBURN returns to Love Spell!.....in
"WHY
CAN'T I BE AUDREY HEPBURN?"
.....for WARNER
BROS., the Nashville film division: Gaylord Films
and London/Beverly Hills based Myriad Pictures
with Palomar Pictures.
Love will play
Perry Forman, a 25-year-old woman who moves from
Ohio to Los Angeles and quickly has it all -- a
job at a local news station and a fiance. In the
course of one week, she is left at the altar and
loses her job. In trying to rebuild her life, she
turns to her fiance's best man, who shares her
love of Audrey Hepburn movies, only to find out
that he uses facts about Hepburn to pick up
women.
Ryan Murphy, a
former newspaper and magazine writer is set to
make his feature directorial debut on his own
screenplay.
This is Love's
first ventureas a producer and star with all of
these film companies.
|
And while
Love is making a movie with John Davis, the
"Heartbreakers" tradition continues....
Jennifer Love Hewitt
will be reteaming with Winchester Entertainment
to produce and star in the romantic comedy.....
"ONE
NIGHT"
Hewitt and Jill
Gilbert will produce through their Love Spell
Entertainment along with Eagle Cove Deluxe
Entertainment.
Stephen Dorff is also
attached to star in the film. Helena Kriel will
be penning the script for the project. Winchester
Entertainment's CEO Gary Smith and president
Hadeel Reda will serve as the executive
producers. They served as Executive Producers on
the 2001 hit "Heartbreakers" for MGM.
|
Singer-Actress
Jennifer Love Hewitt will star and produce, with
her production company Love Spell Entertainment
(LSE) with Harvey Entertainment & Out Of The
Blue Productions
"BUNNY"
This version of
"Bunny" is a spy comedy based on the
Harvey comic book of the same name from the
1960s. Her character is a college student, who
also happens to be a spy, sent on over-the-top,
James Bond (or Jane Bond)-style missions.
Rick Mischel,
president of Harvey Entertainment at the time of
agreement with MGM and LSE, would also serve as a
producer on the film.
The interesting thing
here is that Harvey Comics doesn't mention
anything about the "spy thing" in their
synopsis of the comic book.
|
Columbia
Pictures, a Sony Pictures Entertainment company
was to bring their onboard a surfer chick coping
with some harshed issues in this romantic dramedy
based on the Andrea Gabbard book (of the same
title)
"THE
GIRL IN THE CURL"
.....chronicling the
history of women's surfing. But Paramount
Pictures Corporation, a Viacom Company had
obtained the rights from the dying Sony empire of
entertainment. The movie location managers are
scouting locations in and around Oahu, Hawaii.
Jennifer Love Hewitt
is to star as a girl who finds catharsis through
surfing while attempting to cope with the death
of her brother. The project is also being
developed through Hewitt's Love Spell
Entertainment with Hewitt and Jill Gilbert to
produce with DeLine. Subject to change.
Hot young writers
Karen McCullah Lutz and Kirsten Smith
whose debut screenwriting effort produced the
charming teen skewed Shakespeare knockoff
"10 Things I Hate About You" (Directed
by "If Only" director GIL JUNGER) is
already in place. This team also wrote the MGM
2001 hit, "Legally Blonde" starring
Reese Witherspoon....a movie Jennifer Love Hewitt
mistakenly turned down.
